Annual Sponsorship Levels
The mission of the Christamore House is through education, partnerships, and accountability to empower the people of Haughville to be self-sufficient and contributing members of a safe and healthy community.
Since 1905 the Christamore House has been positively influencing the general welfare of residents living in Indianapolis near the west-side neighborhood of Haughville. For over 100 years the Christamore House Guild has partnered with the Christamore House to provide financial support, volunteer hours, and advocacy for those in need. The Book and Author Benefit and Vegas Fight Night are two ways in which the Guild supports the Christamore House. We need your support and greatly appreciate your willingness to sustain another century of partnership with the Christamore House.
The Christamore House Book and Author Benefit is an annual fund raising project by the Christamore House Guild which showcases four to six acclaimed authors and their current works. The luncheon takes place at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, draws a crowd of nearly 1000 guests, and continues to be a ‘sell-out’ each year. Proceeds from ticket sales, book sales, and contributions from patrons and corporate underwriters provide Haughville youth an opportunity to earn a college degree through the Francis Carter Coburn Scholarship Award, as well as fund other educational programs. Since 1980, this event has raised over one million dollars and funded 650 students’ higher education.
The Christamore House Gala and Auction is in its 37th year as an annual fundraiser. The evening is transformed into a Vegas Fight Night, allowing the Christamore House boxing program to be showcased. Since 1955, the Christamore House boxing program has been teaching youth the value of “sweating in the gym rather than bleeding in the streets.” Donations, auction sales, ticket sales, and contributions from this evening help provide monetary assistance for basic necessities at the Christamore House such as building heat and maintenance, as well as progressive community programs for children, adults, and senior citizens. In 2010, Vegas Fight Night was a sold out event and raised over $95,000.

The Christamore House Guild invites you to become a sponsor for our annual Book and Author Benefit for the Christamore House.
The primary source of funding for the Christamore House is from our generous sponsors, and with their help we have been able to provide support to Haughville citizens for over 100 years by offering scholarships, education programs, youth programs, job skills training and family and senior services.
This event takes place at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, draws a crowd of nearly 1,000 guests, and continues to be a ‘sell-out’ each year.
